Potato & Sweet Potato Mash


  • 2 potatoes (medium)
  • 2 sweet potatoes (small - medium)
  • 60g butter
  • 2 1/2 tbsp milk of your choice
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • salt
  • pepper


  • Cut potatoes into chunks and place in a microwave-safe dish. Cook on high for 6 minutes or until they are cooked through and able to be mashed.
  • Place potatoes and remaining ingredients in a food processor and blitz until smooth. Alternatively, mash potatoes with remaining ingredients with a potato masher or fork.
  • Serve on plates while still hot.

FODMAP adaptable:
Keep sweet potato to less than 1/2 cup per serve.
Choose low FODMAP milk (e.g lactose free).
